About Dr. Robert Gaetano

Robert Gaetano, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University graduating summa cum laude. He did his externship at Chillicothe Veteran’s Administration Hospital in 1989 and completed his undergraduate studies at Youngstown State University in 1985. Dr. Gaetano specializes in multifocal contact lens fittings. He feels it is rewarding to help someone who has stopped wearing contact lenses because they’ve become presbyopic and can't see to do their work without putting on reading glasses. Dr. Gaetano says patients are benefitting from the new optical multifocal technology in today’s contact lenses. Having experienced his own visual and ocular issues as a child, it was Dr. Gaetano’s optometrist who inspired him to become an optometrist. He wanted to help people the same way he was helped. Dr. Gaetano feels honored to care for his patients’ needs and enjoys seeing the smile on their faces when they solve their vision care needs. When Dr. Gaetano isn’t treating patients, he enjoys snow skiing, jogging, hiking, fishing, and swimming. He also enjoys spending time with his best friend who is his wife and their three incredible children, as well as their two dogs and one cat, who complete their family.

Doctor Gaetano is the best provider that I’ve come across in all of my years seeing physicians of all kinds. He is so informative and personable. He consistently leaves me with the feeling that my eye health is really being thoroughly addressed. I have omitted getting frames in the past due to a bad experience with a woman in the frame room - but this time I was with Amanda and she really made me feel like a valued patient. She was helpful, informative, patient with me and all of my questions and was great during the entire process. Due to this experience I am considering a pair of beautiful frames that she helped me find. Thanks to all of the great staff for caring for mine and my entire family’s eyesight.

Fantastic service, friendly staff, on time and quick! Easy to fill out paperwork (iPad) just all around a great experience and easy! Everyone in the office is friendly and accommodating even after I had to reschedule 3 times due to work schedule.

Everyone was very professional in explaining what I was having done. I also appreciated the doctor explaining what was happening to my left eye and why he was sending me to a specialist. They took the time to contact the specialist; so when I left I had all the information I needed for my appointment.
Great service great staff
There was no wait to be seen. Once I was called back, I had my tests done then was taken to exam room. I did not have a long wait to see Dr. Gaetano. The office staff are friendly and very efficient. They apologized for being short staffed but it did not affect my appt in any way.
