About Robert Herbst

Robert J. Herbst AP, DOM, Diplomate in OM – graduated from The Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine with his advanced degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine after earning a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Albizu University – Miami Institute of Psychology. He excelled in his studies achieving multiple academic awards including the Student of the Year Award (2006-2007), the Frank C. Lu Scholarship Award (2007), and the President’s Award (2007). Since graduating in 2007, Robert has continued his education with a multitude of advanced CEU training focusing on infertility treatment and IVF / IUI / FET Support with many leaders in the field including Jane Lyttleton, Giovanni Maciocia, Lee Hullender Rubin, Irina Szmelskyj, Lianne Aquilina and Randine Lewis. Robert also interned with his mentor, the highly respected Dr. Fu Di (MD China), for 2+ years focusing on acupuncture and herbal formula preparation for infertility and women’s health issues, pain management, psychological conditions and autoimmune disease. Early in his career he presented lectures at the University of Miami to medical doctors aspiring to add acupuncture to their practices. Dr. Robert Herbst is nationally board certified in Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine – Diplomate in Oriental Medicine – by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed to practice acupuncture in the state of Florida. Not many acupuncturists are Board Certified in Herbal Medicine due to the vast amount of knowledge and expertise needed to cover the curriculum and pass the examination. Dr. Robert has been in practice 15+ years and is experienced treating a wide range of conditions. His scope of practice includes 8 Principle style acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, advanced herbal medicine, cupping therapy, injection therapy and nutrition / lifestyle counseling.
