Professionally, Dr. Robert (Bob) L. McIntosh is direct with your care and very compassionate. He enjoys each day in the clinic while wearing a bright smile each time you see him. He applies techniques focusing on treating health problems such as scoliosis, chronic disc herniation, neck pain, low back pain, sciatica, headaches, migraines and fibromyalgia by restoring mobility, alignment (spinal curves), posture, and the strength of the spine. When Dr. McIntosh is not in the office seeing patients, he is teaching employee safety for the Rapid City Fire Department, he is a statewide presenter at the Society of Human Resources Managers, he performs wellness training for groups, he has taught college level Anatomy at Black Hills State University and annual safety classes for kids in the elementary schools. During college Dr. McIntosh attended BHSU in Spearfish for his undergraduate degree in Biology, prior to that he completed Diesel School to become a mechanic. Little did he know he would become a spine and movement mechanic. After his bachelor’s degree he attended Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, OR. During his time in school Dr. McIntosh was appointed as the occupational safety program developer where he implemented back safety programs within many Portland businesses like Pepsi, UPS, Miller Paint Company, and Waxie Bathroom Supply. Dr. McIntosh has a true passion for understanding our daily work (movement) directly affects our health. He enjoys gardening, hunting, fishing, and riding mountain bikes.
