Hello, my name is Rob Park, and I am a licensed psychologist in California with over 20 years of experience working with children, teens, and their parents/caregivers. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University. I value creating a safe, validating environment in which to engage in this collaborative task of therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I feel that I connect with a wide range of kids and teens, and I emphasize being genuine and real, and bring an approach that includes humor, when appropriate. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy involving several evidence-based approaches, including solution-focused therapy, ACT, CBT, and family systems therapy. You can expect to come away from our sessions with ideas of what to work on between sessions, and to feel supported and encouraged along the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

You can expect me to work to earn your trust in a non-judgmental way, in order to help you feel more comfortable in therapy. I want to understand you (both child/teen and parent/guardian) and the hopes you have for therapy, and to develop treatment goals and a treatment plan in a collaborative process.
