About Dr. Roberto Lucca
Roberto Lucca, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1987 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry Studies from Purdue University in 1983. Dr. Lucca’s passion for healthcare led him to pursue a career in eyecare. At a very young age, he witnessed his grandmother lose her vision, an experience that made him realize how devastating vision loss can be for an individual and their loved ones. To Dr. Lucca, being an optometrist allows him to serve and protect people’s vision while educating them about their eyecare needs.
In his free time, Dr. Lucca enjoys traveling, playing the bass guitar, socializing with friends, and spending quality time with his wife and two daughters. He is also a sports fanatic, especially when it comes to the Real Madrid soccer team.

I've been a 20/20 customer for quite a few years in Fountain Hills but transferred to the Glendale location when I moved. Same great service, staff was just as sweet, helpful and accommodating, and Dr. Lucca was great! He spent quite a bit of time discussing my questions and concerns despite being the last appointment of the day. I'm sure the entire staff would have liked to have been done for the day, but no one made me feel that way, at all. Thank you 20/20 of Glendale for the great care and treatment! :-)

I appreciated the way the staff was understanding when I had difficulty finding the office. Even though I was late to my appointment the office staff was understanding and accommodated me by fitting me into the doctor's schedule. The doctor was understanding, listened to my concerns and I didn't feel rushed during the appointment.

Decent experience. The doctor was friendly and courteous but I could not get past how pushy everyone in the office was. It felt like a high pressured sales environment at every turn. It was so odd and really turned me off from visiting again. The associate checking me out seemed visibly irritated that I didn’t go along with her pitch. I did pay out of pocket to have my contacts delivered to my home-which I have never had to do at other offices, but I digress, they then sent a text that I could stop by to pick up my contacts. I called to clear things up and the associate I spoke to seemed confused and continued to press that she would have her manager deal with it. She was not the friendliest person and seemed inexperienced with people skills. I asked about tracking and she told me they don’t give that out, I asked why they wouldn’t provide a tracking number if it was my shipment and she cut me off mid sentence and said her manager would call me to deal with it.
