Dr. Asherin received his PhD from the University of Colorado Denver in Clinical Health Psychology after successfully completing externships at Children’s Hospital Colorado, National Jewish Health, University of Colorado Hospital, and a predoctoral internship in rural integrated care through the Munroe Myer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Asherin then completed dual postdoctoral fellowships in integrated primary care at Children’s Hospital Colorado and infant and early childhood mental health through the University of Colorado School of Medicine’s Irving J. Harris Program. Prior to starting South Psychology, Dr. Asherin enjoyed serving as a clinical psychologist at Birch Psychology. He continues as an assistant professor with the University of Colorado Anschutz's Department of Psychiatry as lead psychologist for CoPPCAP, a state-funded child psychiatry access program, and chief data officer for Project CLIMB.
