About Dr. Ryan Oakley
Doctor Podiatry was created by foot and ankle surgeon Dr. Ryan Medina Oakley with the intention of promoting wellness from the ground up. As the founder of Doctor Podiatry, Dr. Oakley firmly believes that healthy feet are the foundation of optimal well-being. To help his patients achieve this, he combines his expertise with alternative therapies and treatments provided by his staff. Here, the focus starts at the feet and continues upward, with treatments designed to heal and soothe both body and mind.
Dr. Oakley is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). He specializes in both conservative and surgical treatments, ranging from bunion and hammertoe correction to traumatic fractures, flatfoot reconstruction, wound care, ankle arthroscopy, and ankle pain, using minimally invasive tools and techniques whenever possible. No matter the severity of your foot and ankle condition, Dr. Oakley will consult with you to select the right treatment tailored to your individual needs and lifestyle.
Dr. Oakley has a multicultural background and speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Portuguese. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Barry University in Miami, FL, one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges of podiatric medicine in the U.S. He completed a three-year residency in podiatric surgery at Westchester General Hospital in Miami, FL. His training also included a fellowship at Bako Dermatopathology Laboratory in Alpharetta, Georgia. Dr. Oakley is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association. He has authored numerous publications.
