About Dr. Samantha Feder
Dr. Feder is an experienced, board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with special interests in preconception counseling. Dr. Feder received her bachelor's degree in history from Washington University in St. Louis in 1992. During her undergraduate career, she spent a year at King's College of the University of London studying history and English. She obtained her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1996. While in medical school, she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Feder received residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, then a teaching hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, graduating in 2000. As a resident, she was recognized for teaching excellence by Columbia's medical students. Also during residency, she was a Galloway Fellow at Sloan-Kettering Memorial Cancer Center. In 2002, she was appointed Assistant Clinical Professorof Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, a position she held until 2013. Dr. Feder is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Feder delivered both of my children at Weill Cornell, and I am deeply grateful for her expertise, compassion, and personalized care. During my 1st delivery, after a long labor, my baby was not progressing. Dr. Feder calmly explained my options, sought a 2nd opinion, and recommended a vacuum-assisted delivery, helping me avoid a C-section and earning my lasting trust.
Three years later, her careful attention again proved critical when she identified low fluid, ordered addl testing, and recommended induction. When my baby’s heart rate showed signs of fatigue, she rushed back from the operating room to ensure a safe delivery. I delivered a healthy baby with minimal tearing.
Her thoughtful support with breastfeeding and pp mental health also made a meaningful difference in my recovery. Dr. Feder combines exceptional clinical judgment with genuine warmth and dedication. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had her deliver both my children and recommend her without hesitation.
