Dr. Bhat grew up in upstate New York and received her undergraduate degree in biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2013. She went to Brooklyn for her medical degree at SUNY Downstate in 2017. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Albany Medical Center in upstate New York in 2021. She moved to Virginia for better weather and to be closer to her family.
Her interests include minimally invasive surgery, including robotic-assisted gynecologic surgery, laparoscopic gynecologic surgery, and high-risk obstetrics. Her passion is educating women about their bodies so that they can make informed healthcare decisions. She believes education empowers women. She enjoys cooking, dancing, traveling, and reading in her spare time.

Everyone I interacted with at this office was kind and made me feel comfortable, respected and listened to. Dr. Bhat provided me with information and options of solutions that made me feel empowered and hopeful. I appreciate the level of detail she was able to provide and her willingness to answer my questions, even the very basic ones that I was embarrassed to bring up. I plan on returning for future appointments/ check-ups.

I've been a patient at this practice for a few years, but the provider I used to see relocated. Dr. Bhat was very kind and took time to answer all of my questions -- even after I became a little stern (trying to advocate for myself) because I initially thought she was dismissing a concern I brought up. In reality, it was a genuine miscommunication that she quickly clarified, and I left feeling satisfied with the care received.

Dr. Bhat, the nurse, and the front desk staff were super kind and communicative! Asked lots of questions to get my full medical history, walked me through everything they were going to do in the appointment, and asked me repeatedly if I had any additional questions or concerns. I will be going back!

I will not be returning to this practice. The doctor was not compassionate towards my concerns and instead largely ignored them. Instead of being helpful, you will just be receive a lecture on all the ways your body can mess up in the future due to being larger. It was uncomfortable and very disheartening. If you are a larger-bodied person, I would steer clear.

The front desk staff was welcoming and professional. My wait time was short and the Nurse was pleasant.
