About Dr. Sanika Gadkari
Dr. Gadkari is a trained obstetrician and gynecologist who is excited to join the team at Maiden Lane Medical and provide warm, compassionate, and individualized care to the women of New York City.
Dr. Gadkari completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California, graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. She went on to receive her medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Afterwards, she completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Washington. While in residency, she had the opportunity to participate in the Global Health Track, focusing on women’s health in rural Kenya.
Dr. Gadkari is passionate about providing comprehensive women’s health care and working with women to meet their healthcare goals. Her clinical interests include obstetrics, reproductive health, gynecologic surgery, and health advocacy.
Being an accomplished classical dancer and avid reader, in her free time she enjoys traveling, the Beatles, Bollywood, and trying many different types of cuisines!

I arrived 15 mins prior to my appointment as instructed. The receptionist at the front desk was very friendly. Prior to my appointment, I was sent an email to a link to create an online portal. Check in was seamless, I was seen right away. Dr. Gardkari was fantastic, she listened and addressed all my concerns. She has great bedside manner. I had a wonderful experience at this office being a brand new patient, I would 10/10 recommend this practice.

I really appreciated the fact she took her time to listen to my concerns and actually gave great advice instead of just rushing me along. Most women dread going to GYN this visit was amazing and she made me feel comfortable.

I booked an appointment 2 weeks out for 1:30 as a new patient. When I show up for the appointment at 1:35 they tell me I’m 15 minutes late and that my appointment was at 1:20. I say that the appointment confirmation I received was for 1:30, they insisted that it was for 1:20. There was no attempt to check and see if there was a mistake made on their part, they immediately insisted it was my fault.
Granted, I understand that as a new patient I should’ve showed up early to fill out paperwork, but I already filled out several intake forms online so I didn’t think I’d have much to fill out when I arrived. My understanding for appointments is that there is a 5 minute grace period- the person at the front desk told me I needed to show up 15 minutes prior to my appointment time and rescheduled me for another day. I don’t know if the appointment time is a discrepancy between Zocdoc and the office,or if it was a mistake on the offices part entirely.

Highly recommended! Love, love, love her attentiveness! Bed side manner was incredible! MA Erica was the best ever! So sweet and took care of me right away! Calmed me down when my pressure was high and took my blood with ease! Did cringe or tear up! A true professional! Front desk assistants were very pleasing! Thank you Dr. Gadkari and team!

I didn’t see this provider because of scheduling changes, but the midwife I saw at the practice was WONDERFUL. She took the time to ask—and really listen to the answers for—thoughtful questions and made sure to follow up on all of my concerns. Excellent trauma-informed care practices. (Have a history of ED? Just ask to step on the scale backwards. SA? They’ll offer exam adjustments.) Huge, huge shout out to the incredible MA here as well; she was so kind, reassuring, and patient. I went into this appointment with a lot of anxiety from a past experience, and everything about this set my mind at ease.
FYI - this practice *does* offer sedation (via their outpatient surgery center) for IUD placement and removal, and they’re very open about discussing that option if you’re concerned about pain or other challenges with IUDs!

Had a great first visit today with Dr. Gadkari! She was very easy to talk to, listened to my past experiences/fears (recent miscarriage) without dismissing me or rushing me, answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. The nurse/PA(?) Erica was also lovely! My wait time wasn’t bad, and I had no problems with my visit. Will definitely be going back!

This was my first time at the office and I had a great experience. They took me in right away, and did all the necessary steps with me as someone who is first time pregnant. Dr. Sanika Gadkari was knowledgeable and answered my questions when possible.

Dr. Gadkari was great - nice and thorough. A good listener. However the office never returned my request to speak to her as a follow up, also they ignored my request to speak to the doctor on call. Despite many times reaching out to them in a time of urgent need. I would not return to this office or practice. Clearly they do not prioritize patient’s needs or care. It is a shame as I did like Dr Gadkari.

Walked into a warm welcoming environment. Staff were clear and quick with processing me. Once triage, I waited in a room for an hour before my husband went to find some for an update. Doctor was apologetic for the long wait. Not sure if her warm personality will have me as a reoccurring patient.

I rarely write reviews, but this was such a great experience- somehow having my nexplanon implant removed was the highlight of my day!! I was a bit nervous, and Dr. Gadkari was so kind and walked me through the procedure and checked in with me regularly to make sure I was comfortable. The process was so smooth and truly painless! Nurse Gwen checked my vitals at the beginning of the appointment, but also kept my spirits up and was an absolute joy. I left feeling so seen and taken care of and grateful for the experience.
