“This was my first visit and it will not be my last. I went to a pain management specialist for the past 2 years. After 2 lumber shots and therapy, and MRI they could not tell me why I still had pain going down my legs. Dr Suratwala had x-rays taken before I was seen. The doctor asked questions and listened to my issues. Once he saw the x-rays I finally had an answer for why I have been in pain for the past 2 years. He took the time to explain the x-rays and even pulled up my previous MRI with the other doctor and showed the similarities. We discussed my options and agreed on a plan. Very good first visit. ”

About Dr. Sanjeev Suratwala
Dr. Sanjeev Suratwala, MD, is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in the comprehensive treatment of spinal disorders. He earned his Doctor of Medicine and completed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University. He further advanced his expertise with a Fellowship in Spine Surgery at the Twin Cities Spine Center. Dr. Suratwala is an assistant professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University, where he mentors medical students interested in Orthopedic Surgery. He is experienced in providing non-surgical treatments for neck pain, lower back pain, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, and fractures of the spine. Dr. Suratwala is also an expert in minimally invasive spinal surgery and traditional complex surgeries, including microdiscectomy, laminectomy, spinal fusion, disc replacement, and kyphoplasty. Additionally, he performs epidural and spinal injections. After medical school, Dr. Suratwala was awarded a prestigious travel fellowship through the Cervical Spine Research Society and worked with renowned spinal surgeons in France, Germany, Switzerland, and St. Louis. He has also volunteered at hospitals in India, providing world-class care to underprivileged patients.

Great doctor! Did the X-ray in house right away. Saw me and relayed the results to me in a timely manner. Overall, I was back home within the hour (if you live close by!) and I’d definitely recommend.
