About Dr. Sarbjit Virk
Dr. Virk graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1992. He has lived in the greater Seattle area for 18 years. Dr. Virk established Advanced Eyecare Solutions of Woodinville in 1996 and then opened Advanced Eyecare Solutions of Bellevue in 2004. He became a fellow of the Orthokeratology Academy of America in April 2007. Both practices are full-scope primary eye care facilities. As an optometric physician, Dr. Virk treats dry eyes, red eyes, glaucoma, foreign bodies, and most disorders of the anterior part of the eye. His special interests include pediatric care and specialty contact lenses, such as orthokeratology. This procedure reshapes the cornea while the patient is sleeping and is a safe alternative to LASIK surgery for moderate corrections. Our patients appreciate Dr. Virk's thoroughness and very caring attitude.

Mom and I came in to get our annual eye exams. What should've been a routine procedure could've gone better, but this review isn't about that.
The day after our exams, we went to Costco to order our glasses. Mom's glasses haven't been great (blurriness, headaches, etc.), so after a trial week, we went back to Costco. Costco was VERY thorough in making sure the fit was good, and that the prescription matched both the lenses that were produced and that what was input into their system matched what was prescribed by Dr. Virk.
The only conclusion we (and Costco's opticians) can come to now is that the prescription is wrong. However, I called today and Advanced Eyecare Solutions will not do this re-check. They say that we have to pay extra for this "expensive" prescription re-check. They even questioned the quality of the glasses we got from Costco.
So who would you rather trust: Costco, or Advanced Eyecare Solutions? Because that is what it comes down to now for us.

Staff was kind and communicated well every step of the way. They were very diligent about reminding me of my upcoming appointment. There was a small scheduling conflict and they were flexible and kind when calling to make sure I was able to reschedule. The appointment itself was smoothe. The exam felt seamless and the doctor was engaging. I didn't feel like I was just another appointment but rather seen human to human. He showed interest in my career and life which made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment :)

The doctor is great.
My husband had eye issues from last 20 days .
We also went to WA university emergency and they were not able to figure out the reason behind irritation inflammation and red eye .
The pain got worst he wasn’t able to sleep due to inflammation . So finally I found Dr. Sarbjit virk . He was able to figure out the issue and gave eye drops and we will follow up with him in 7 days . Will keep you all posted .

I have bad eyesight so I have been to several eye doctors over the years, but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had with any doctor. I started by telling Dr. Virk that I wanted new soft contact lenses. He dismissed me and said I wanted Sclera lenses and they would be fine even though they were hard. I repeated many times that I did not want Sclera lenses, I wanted soft contacts and he ignored me and had his assistant call my insurance to see if they would approve Sclera lenses. It turns out they would cost me way too much out of pocket. He then showed me what a Sclera contact looked like and said I could try it on even through it had been in SOMEONE ELSE’S EYE! I said I wasn’t comfortable with that and that I wanted soft contacts. He said fine, what brand do you want? As if I’m supposed to know all the brands? This whole process lasted about two hours and I finally started crying because I was so frustrated. He dismissed me and made me feel stupid over and over again. I finally just walked out the door with no contacts because there is no way I’m going back to him for contact fitting. I can’t believe the way I was treated and it will be worth it to pay out of pocket to see any other eye doctor.
