About Dr. Scott Weiss
Dr. Scott Weiss is a primary care sports medicine physician with over fifteen years of experience as a sports medicine physician. In college, he majored in biology and earned a bachelor of science from Cornell University with honors as he was part of the Golden Key Honor Society and Ho-Nun-De-Kah Honor society. His medical training began at Tufts Medical School. He then did an internal medicine residency at Long Island Jewish Hospital (part of Northwell Health). After residency, Dr. Weiss worked as a private internal medicine attending in New York City/Long Island, and then worked as a hospitalist at Yale New Haven Hospital where he was a clinical instructor of medicine. From Yale New Haven Hospital, he then went to complete a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at United Health Services where served as a clinical instructor of medicine at Upstate University and helped care for the athletes at Binghamton University, a Division I school.
Dr. Weiss has a great interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound both for diagnostic and interventional purposes. He published a free educational musculoskeletal ultrasound website. He has thus far hosted seventeen musculoskeletal ultrasound conferences in Long Island and has taught musculoskeletal ultrasound for the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and has taught privately throughout the country. Also, much of his work in musculoskeletal ultrasound has been published on VuMedi and YouTube.
He has much experience with platelet rich plasma for orthopedic injuries/chronic tendinosis/arthritis and has a great interest in biologic treatments for sports injuries. Dr. Weiss is also certified in acupuncture.

I seemed rushed and dismissed, and the doc did not truly listen to my concerns, and treated a muscle spasm, when I went to another provider, they took an x-ray and found other issues.

He took the time to listen to all of my complaints and worries and listed all possible treatment options, catering to how comfortable I felt moving forward with each option. Front desk staff was very friendly as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new sports medicine physician.

Outstanding all around. My only issue was that the xray technician wasn’t there to take fresh ones, but in all fairness I just had X-rays at urgent care and had only booked this appointment 2 hours in advance so I can’t be mad.
Everything else was perfect. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Dr. Weiss and his office for orthopedics. Dr. Weiss listened and helped. I am booking my follow up appointment with him and will probably try acupuncture as well. I like when a doctor has an open mind to alternative treatments but still uses traditional methods. He is a very nice man.
