About Dr. Sean Odell

Doctor Sean Odell is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained and board certified in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Odell specializes in the treatment of complex injuries of the shoulder and knee. He commonly performs arthroscopic surgery of the knee for meniscus tears and ACL reconstructions. In the shoulder, Dr. Odell does arthroscopic repairs for tears of the rotator cuff, labrum and biceps tendon as well as subacromial decompressions for impingement syndrome, distal clavicle resections for A-C arthritis pain and stabilization procedures for recurrent shoulder instability. Additionally, Dr. Odell treats all types of orthopedic injuries such as fractures, sprains and sports injuries. He provides conservative treatment for arthritis pain and when necessary, performs joint replacement surgery of the knee, hip or shoulder. Dr. Odell joined Midwest Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgical Specialists, Ltd. in 2006 and has staff privileges at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village and St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.
