Seymour M. Weaver, III, M.D. was born and raised in Houston, TX. He went to college in upstate NY at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Dr. Weaver earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, and then went on to the Los Angeles County/USC medical center where he served an internship in medicine. Next, he completed a three-year U.C.L.A. affiliated dermatology residency program at Martin Luther King, Jr. Medical Center. He completed extensive training, including outpatient and inpatient preceptorships in plastic surgery. During residency, Dr. Weaver visited Kenya where he studied tropical dermatology and diseases for a month at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
In 1995, Dr. Weaver chose to focus his practice on the rapidly advancing areas of dermatological surgery such as birthmark removal, leg vein removal, laser wrinkle reduction, and body shaping. Since that time, he has become well known for providing the latest and most effective treatment options, with an emphasis on safety and only using local anesthesia.
Dr. Weaver founded Dr. W Dermatology with the goal of delivering exceptional quality, and comprehensive care. He currently has offices in Katy, TX and Houston, TX, and his practice continues to expand. Dr. Weaver provides medical and aesthetic Botox injections to acne treatment, microdermabrasion, leg vein treatment and state-of-the-art laser technology as well as liposculpture.

I have been Dr. Weaver's patient for over 2 years and have been visiting his office every 6 weeks. He never done any of the injections himself. Always, his staff did the injections and they didn't do a good job. Several times, I noticed the effect of extra dose that caused dent on my skin. In my last visit, due to the heavy traffic, I arrived 12 min late and I was not let in despite driving from the other part of the town. That was my last visit and I won't go there again.

Dr. Weaver was highly recommended from a good friend; therefore I am confident that he does a great job. However, booking appointments back-to-back, only to make his clients wait, is not way a make a good impression. Dr. Weaver and his nurse was so rushed as they came in and out of the room. I arrived at 2:30 and was called into a room at 4:30. A total of about 10 minutes was spent speaking to me about my concerns and what can be done about.

It's important to look at a client and also greet them when entering the door. A smile and wave will suffice even if you can't talk at the time. Patients need to be kindly acknowledged that they are present at the establishment.
I overheard unprofessional office chatter gossip and laughing right outside of the patients room by the doctors asst and other staff. The doctor was nice and professional. I would rather deal with the Doctor directly and only if I had the choice. I never understood why an assistant needed to be in the room. It's really important that doctors have genuinely friendly, and compassionate staff members towards all clients. The staff need to be friendly in front of the client but when the client is not in front of them. Office banter looks unprofessional and can tarnish a doctors professional brand no matter how good they are. The best doctors need the best and most professional staff.

I loved my visit with Dr. Weaver. He is personable, professional, and knowledgeable. He has excellent bed-side manners, addresses all of your concerns and has no hidden agenda. He gives you the cost of services to be performed and applies no pressure in letting you decide if you want further treatment(s) or not. His staff was friendly and efficient. It was worth the drive from Missouri City to Katy!

From the moment I walked in they just wanted to prescribe me as much medication as possible and force me into committing to lazer treatments.
I will never go back because they were just trying to line their pockets rather than truly addressing my issues. They ignored my questions and request for solutions that didn't involve they medicines they prescribed.
The great doctors are the ones that don't pressure you into treatments, answer your questions, explain what's going on and if you do agree on a treatment they start out with minimally evasive solutions first.

dr weaver was very friendly the nurse was also very friendly she had to numb a spot on my head and did a great job hardly any pain and talked to me the whole time. Dr. Weaver also spoke while he removed the spot didn't even realize he was done. I could hear a nurse speaking on the phone to someone while I was waiting she did not sound very professional on the phone. She was quite rude sounding to whom ever se was speaking to.

This was my first visit with Dr. Weaver and I was very please with everything from the time I walked in the door of his office to the finish of my appointment. The professional, friendly, caring and patient staff was very impressive. I felt quite comfortable and trusting discussing my issue with doctor Weaver and with his diagnosis and treatment, which is usually hard for me on first visits to a physician's office. I look forward to my follow up visit. I will definitely recommend others to this office.

I was impressed with Dr. Weaver. He answered my questions and did not try to push any "products". I was slightly anoyed by the wait time once I got in the exam room. I was also not happy with the parking situation. I think that when you are a new patient the office should tell you that you may have problems in trying to find parking. I drove around twice which made me approximately 10 minutes late for my appointment. There was someone in the parking lot to assist but I had no idea who he was until after I had come out of the office. The staff was friendly and courteous.

One word to summarize the entire office staff including Dr. Weaver is" AMAZING "! First let me start by stating I was late for my appointment and decided to cancel because I was lost. After being late for over 30 minutes I walked in and explained my situation and the front office staff ( a gentleman) was extremely nice and offered to fit me in. I waited less than 10 mins. and was on my way to seeing the doctor. Dr.Weavers nurse (Erica) was extremely sweet, knowledgeable, and provided me great info on what to expect during the visit. Dr.Weaver hands down is the best! He also made me feel comfortable and open to share any and all dermatology concerns. He is very knowledgeable, mild, and explains things in a way that you can understand. He make you feel as if your beauty is his main interest and to be ready for the transformation that his game plan is going to deliver. Its good to know that there are still physicians and office staff out there that make you feel like you are more than just another patient. This office from check in to check out is outstanding and get 5 stars!

My visit was really good. He made me feel at ease. He's got excellent people skills. I went to see another Dermatologist and he made me feel bad about my condition and was very rude. Dr. Weaver brought back my confidence in going to see Dermatologist. I can't wait to see my final result.
