He obtained his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and returned to Phoenix to complete his medical internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Patel’s ophthalmology residency was completed at University Hospital’s Eye Institute – Case Western School of Medicine. During his residency, he participated in various research activities, presented at both local and national meetings, and was appointed the Chief Resident of the residency program in his final year. He completed his glaucoma fellowship at the University of Texas-Southwestern in Dallas. Dr. Patel was ranked top two cataract surgeons in Arizona in US Newsweek’s, “America’s Best Eye Doctors 2021”. ?In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, and playing basketball and tennis. He is excited to be back in the Valley and looks forward to meeting you.
