About Dr. Shannon Chang
Dr. Chang combines deep clinical knowledge with a calm, caring presence that instantly puts patients at ease. She’s passionate about providing thoughtful, thorough care for women at every stage of life—from first visits to family planning, fibroid care, menopause, and everything in between.
Dr. Chang earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Ob/Gyn residency at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She also holds a B.A. in Anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin, a foundation that shapes her warm, culturally sensitive approach to medicine.
Dr. Chang takes the time to listen, explain, and connect with her patients. Her goal is always to make women feel seen, heard, and supported—whether they’re navigating a complex diagnosis or simply coming in for a routine check-up.
Outside the office, you’ll find her cycling, weightlifting, cooking something new, or hanging out with her two very spoiled cats. She speaks Korean and has a long-standing passion for serving diverse communities and making healthcare feel more human.

I've never been relaxed or felt attended to at an OBGYN office before this one. The doctor had a nice sense of humor that helped my nerves, was very careful/gentle, and addressed all of my concerns. It felt easy to speak with Dr. Chang.

Dr. Chang & all of the staff were amazing! Dr. Chang was extremely gentle and my recovery only took the rest of the day. I would let another biopsy as long as Dr. Chang is performing it!
