About Dr. Shannon Trinh
Shannon Trinh, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2016.
Dr. Trinh has been practicing optometry since 2021 and is passionate about serving and getting to know families in the local community. After working in hospital laboratories for two years, she transitioned into optometry to combine her medical background with a more patient-centered career. Dr. Trinh brings energy and compassion into the exam room, with a strong focus on patient service and eye health advocacy.
She completed her externships at the Fort Worth Community Eye Clinic and Frisco Eye Associates, where she gained experience in treating a wide range of ocular conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, contact lenses, and dry eye.
Dr. Trinh is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Texas Optometric Association (TOA), and Northeast Texas Optometric Society (NETOS).
When she is not treating patients, Dr. Trinh enjoys spending time with her family, going on long walks with her dog, long-distance running, traveling, and indoor gardening.

The doctor was very attentive and kind, listening to all my concerns. She thoroughly and clearly explained everything, always remaining friendly and patient. The staff was also kind, and although I had to wait a while, I was happy with my consultation and the treatment the doctor provided for my stye.

The office staff was very professional. Dr Trinh was very thoroughwith her exam explanations. She was professional and pleasant.
I had filled put all the lengthy forms on Zocdoc (on-line). I got to the office and the tech said they did not have the on-line forms with all my personal and medical information. That was disappointing and had taken a long time to fill out. I did get a confirmation from Zocdoc saying they received the forms.
The information was therefore requested again at the appointment which took considerable time. That seemed rather ineffective and inefficient.
