About Dr. Sharon Wise
Dr. Wise received her bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in religion and a certificate in business management from the University of Rochester in New York. She received her M.D. Degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed her residency at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. While at The George Washington University, she received recognition for participation in the Residents as Teachers program and was inducted in the Kane King Dodek Obstetrical Honor Society. Dr. Wise is affiliated with Northwestern Memorial Hospital/Prentice Women's Hospital, and is a clinical instructor of obstetrics and gynecology. She joined the practice in 2007. Dr. Wise is an excellent doctor. It was refreshing to feel truly listened to and not rushed during the appointment. She took the time to explain everything clearly and answered all of my questions with care. The nurses were also amazing, super friendly and attentive. I had some blood tests done, and they made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. I highly recommend Dr. Wise and her team!

All the staff and Dr.Wise were friendly and professional. I was seen at my appointment time. Dr. Wise did not rush the appointment, answered all my questions, and encouraged me to reach out if I had any questions in the future.

Dr. Wise is wonderful. I found her 3-4 years ago by googling "feminist gynecologist" because I'd had some bad experiences with doctors in the past in ways that were related to me being female. She was so kind at that appointment and listened to me and helped me and she did the same thing this time!

overall okay experience, had a bit of a longer wait time but appreciated Dr. Wise listening to my concerns even if it did feel a bit forced. i also did feel a little dismissed as she chalked a lot of what i was concerned about up to genetic/ethnic factors and i wished she’d informed me of what she was doing during the pap before she started doing it (but i think her strategy is to distract you with conversation).

I would rate her as satisfactory. She seemed a bit distracted and did not engage in conversation about my concerns. She was thorough with her skills, but definitely could improve on being more empathetic towards patient concerns.

I went to this dr for the first time for my annual and was really worried about other concerns as well. Most of my questions she brushed off with an “I don’t know” which made me much more anxious because they were gynecological questions. She really just seemed annoyed with my questions and made me feel judged. I honestly cried afterward, it was a really horrible experience. When you go to the gynecologist you want to feel comforted and safe and that was the opposite of what I felt. I just really felt so alone and like I was an annoyance. I feel horrible writing a bad review and maybe it was just an off day for her, but this was my experience

The wait was an hour before I was brought back to an exam room and the nurse was not friendly. It was very rushed and was not a pleasant experience. I then waited for another 30 minutes before seeing my doctor for a 10 minute exam. Unfortunately this wait time has been the usual at this office. Dr. Wise has been a nice and helpful doctor but with the wait time and other staff being unfriendly it doesn’t seem worth it to return.

Dr . Wise was fantastic! She was very professional, efficient and honest. She talked me through everything she did . I felt comfortable enough to be honest with her about my health history which is extremely important in a healthcare setting . I highly recommend seeing her !
