Born and raised in Woodstock, GA, Dr. Shayla earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Life University in 2015 and continued her education there, completing her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2021. She specialized in spinal biomechanics with a focus on family and wellness care. Dr. Shayla joined The Joint Chiropractic in November 2022 and now serves as a full-time doctor at the Canton location. Passionate about natural healthcare, she keeps up with the latest research and says, “The human body is incredibly intelligent. There is no mistake in its design. Once you get down to the root cause of WHY something is happening, you can better understand how to support it to function optimally.” She also regularly attends seminars and workshops to grow as a provider and refine her skills. Outside the clinic, Dr. Shayla enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and caring for her pets — two dogs (Maggie and Marla), three cats (Sheva, Rengoku, and Nero), and a turtle named Waffle. Her favorite travel destination so far is Cape Town, South Africa, and she loves exploring unique dishes from around the world.
