About Dr. Shelly Blaker

Dr. Shelly Blaker completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Houston, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She continued her education at the same institution, obtaining a Doctor of Optometry degree from the College of Optometry. Dr. Blaker has been practicing at Hill Country Vision Center since 2004. She is a member of both the Texas Optometric Society and the American Optometric Society. Her favorite part of being an optometrist is interacting with patients on a personal level while discussing their eye care needs. Outside of work, Dr. Blaker’s kids keep her busy with their baseball games and cheer and dance competitions.

Today was an initial visit with Dr. Blaker, so good rapport was most definitely being established. I was greeted with smiles at the front desk and had very little wait time to see the Dr. Dr Blaker was swift (she matched my spunky 60 y/o energy), professional, personable and very kind throughout my visit. I left knowing a lot more about "my" 60 y/o eyes and a prescription to a new pair of "groovie" glasses. All in all, my experience was pretty awesome.
