Dr. Shehrebanu Merchant is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has been practicing in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago for the last 29 years. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago, followed by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Her expertise lies in providing minimally invasive and robotic gynecological surgery, along with state-of-the-art comprehensive care. Dr. Merchant treats her patients like family, tailoring her treatment with mindfulness to each individual's needs.

Horrible. Never again. Didn’t listen to my needs pushed her own opinion on me. She was disrespectful. Horrible bedside manner worst doctor I’ve ever seen. She was super late. Going in with needs and was not heard, she commented on how she believes only one thing will work. When I did my research before going in. Complete nightmare.

Dr Sherri is an excellent gyno if you are typically uncomfortable with this type of visit. She’s warm, sweet and relaxed. She’s also very gentle.

The staff is friendly and the office is cozy. Dr. Merchant is warm and caring. I did feel the latter half of the appointment was more her talking and less of a conversation. We did wait a while but the staff was very apologetic and upfront about the wait.

I was very comfortable. She and her staff were easy to talk to and very considerate. She was also very thorough in making sure she had all the important background health information and information about my current concerns and addressed all of it. I will be sticking with her for the foreseeable future even though the office is a bit of a hike for me.

This woman asked me to put my phone down when she was talking to me like she was my mother. When I was trying to look in my other my chart for information for her. Then she proceeded to be very rough when doing my exam. Also the room they had me in had a very odd smell. I would not recommend her at all.
