About Dr. Shilpa Paradkar Singh
Born and raised in Delhi, I have been practicing internal medicine for over 25 years.
I trained at Maulana Azad Medical College, earned my MD from Mt Sinai in NYC, and have been board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 2006. Before founding Atrium, I served as Medical Director of Yaffe, Ruden & Associates on the Upper East Side. I have been named Top Docs of New York consistently since 2019.
I founded Atrium because I was tired of watching patients get processed rather than cared for -- bounced between providers who didn't know their history, seen for seven minutes, handed a prescription, and sent home. Primary care done right is the opposite of that. It is continuous, not episodic. It catches things before they become serious. It requires a clinician who actually knows you: your history, your risk factors, how you respond to treatment over time.
Atrium is structured as a clinical team precisely because no single provider should be a single point of failure for their patients. When you see me or any member of our team, the entire practice knows your history. That continuity is not an accident, it is the whole point.
My clinical focus includes preventive care, cardiovascular risk reduction, metabolic health, chronic disease management, and women's health.
At Atrium we offer same-day and next-day appointments for a broad range of primary care needs including annual physicals, preventive screening, chronic disease management, allergy testing, GLP-1 weight management, PrEP and STI care, and immigration physicals (USCIS Form 693 civil surgeon). We do not keep a credit card on file and we do not charge patients automatically after visits.
