About Dr. Shital Chatwani
Our practice is dedicated to offering exceptional vision care to patients of all ages. Our expertise, combined with innovative technology, superior customer service, and trendy eyewear, offers you an eye care experience like none other.
Dr. Chatwani earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the renowned Indiana University School of Optometry. She completed her Residency at the top-ranked University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, specializing in Contact Lens and Low Vision care. During her Residency, Dr. Chatwani served as a Clinical Instructor at UC Berkeley and the California School for the Blind. She also worked at Eye Physicians of the East Bay, a leading ophthalmology practice in Oakland, CA, and served as an Associate at Livermore Optometry Group for five years.
In addition to working in the office, Dr. Chatwani currently serves as the official eye doctor to the Oakland Athletics and enjoys seeing the players and attending spring training.

Great visit! Didn't have to wait too long and the receptionist was very accommodating. Dr. Chatwani walked me through everything she was doing and was very courteous.

I was super impressed with how smoothly things went at my appointment. I was quickly pre-tested and only had to wait a few minutes to see the doctor. She quickly built rapport and gave me some good suggestions for some issues that I have been having. She was courteous and professional.
They have a great selection of designer frames and I really had a hard time choosing! I haven’t purchased new frames in awhile so I might be out of touch but it seemed like their selection of frames were all on the higher end. The lady that helped me with frames did review the prices with me, and walked me through my insurance benefits in a very simple way!
Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend Tri-city optical!

Friendly! But I am not satisfied with the amount of the total price I paid with the lens and frame. I have 2 insurance combined personal and from work but I ended up paying still very high copay. Too bad I already paid the full amount of copay. I should have not get the the frame and the lens.
