Hey, there! I'm Dr. Skyler Hoover, a psychologist specializing in men's mental health, couples counseling, and couples sex therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I help people improve their mood, build successful relationships, and achieve personal growth. Couples can expect to communicate better, argue less frequently, restore trust, and connect deeper on an emotional & physical level. I’m here to combine my expertise as a psychologist and your expertise on your own life to help you get to where you want to go! My style is relaxed, direct, and self-paced (plus an occasional joke or two); I'll be helping you turn your new insights into action. If working in a collaborative and accepting relationship sounds like something you're looking for, I hope you reach out!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My main approach to therapy is Relational Cultural Theory and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; in couples work I practice from an Imago and Gottman method lens. We will look at what in your environment and internally is causing your distress, to better understand yourself. From there, we can use that knowledge to tailor skills to your benefit and help you grow!

You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment.
