About Dr. Sonia Shah
Dr. Sonia Shah is a Board Certified Gynecologist. She completed her OBGYN training from Houston Methodist Hospital and moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to family. In her decade of practice, she has specialized in preventive health, taking care of women and promoting wellness at every stage of their lives, from adolescence through menopause. Her aim is to develop lifelong relationships with her patients. Dr. Shah is also trained in a wide variety of procedures including in-office procedures, surgical procedures, and minimally invasive/robotic gynecological surgeries. Dr. Shah's special interests include preventive gynecological care, management of menstrual concerns, family planning/contraception, and menopausal management. When not at work, Dr. Shah loves spending time with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys traveling and cooking. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi

I booked an appointment with Dr. Shah due to some urgent symptoms I was experiencing, and also had my annual exam while there. Everyone in the office was so kind and Dr. Shah was very thorough in her questions for me and listened and charted all my answers while with me. She explained everything she was doing and asked for consent prior to each part of the exam and none of it felt awkward or uncomfortable. I've finally found and OBGYN that is nice and thorough and won't be dreadful each time I have to go.

I am a new patient at Advocare Montgomery Gynecology and this was my first appointment with Dr. Shah. She was great! Incredibly thorough, asked about family history, offered genetic testing if I would want it in the future, and told me everything she was doing before doing it. Definitely recommend. The office staff is very helpful, too. Offered to make appointments for me (for mammogram, but I am up-to-date). Overall, as good as a gyn experience can be :)
