About Dr. Sophia Lubin
Dr. Sophia Lubin is a proud first-generation Haitian-American. Dr. Lubin is a board-certified OB/GYN and a native New Yorker who holds a BS in Biology from The City College of NY and a medical degree from NYIT-New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her OB/GYN residency at Beth Israel (now Mount Sinai-Beth Israel). Along with her impressive resume of medical experience, she also speaks fluent English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Dr. Lubin has special interests in fibroids, women’s sexual health, and menopause.
Dr. Lubin joined Symphony Medical's team in September of 2023 and is accepting new patients at the Yonkers location! She has hospital privileges at St. John's Riverside Hospital to deliver babies and do gynecological surgeries.

Great visit!
From front desk, to assistant, to med students to Dr. Lubin herself. I was seen on time, triage didn’t take long as I filled out the forms on zocdoc. Dr. Lubin was thorough, patient, knowledgeable, clear and just a lovely human being! My physical exam was painless and she communicated through out. It was a pleasure Dr. Lubin! Thank you!

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the handling of my recent medical appointment at your facility. On 8/5/24 appointment, I arrived promptly for my scheduled appointment with Dr. Lubin only to be informed after waiting for an hour and a half that the appointment had been cancelled.
The reason provided for the cancellation was that Dr. Lubin had been pulled to deliver a baby at the hospital located in the same building. While I understand that emergencies can arise in the medical profession, the lack of communication and professionalism in this situation was unacceptable.
Waiting for such an extended period without any update or information was not only a waste of my time but also left me feeling neglected and disregarded as a patient. I believe that better communication and contingency plans should have been in place to manage such situations effectively and minimize inconvenience to patients.
