About Dr. Sora Hahn
Dr. Hahn-Navas' parents are from Korea, but she was raised in Colombia, South America. She completed college, medical school and ophthalmology training in Colombia.
She moved to the United States in 2000 when the University of Southern California invited her to take part in a very ambitious eye care project among the Latino population.
After completing that work, she moved to San Antonio for a further three years of training in ophthalmology.
She has been taking care of eye problems for fourteen years, and the pleasure of helping her patients to see clearly has been a wonderful reward for all those years of training. Her husband is also an ophthalmologist.
They have two children, and we all enjoy spending time together, traveling, hiking, biking and swimming.

I waited an hour to be seen. The Dr. had my eyes checked for a R/X. She told me not to spend a lot on glasses; my vision would be changing. She said cataract surgery isn't covered by insurance, & I should enjoy my vision while it lasts. I was then sent to the wait area for next appt. scheduling. I again had to deal with an antagonistic girl from when I arrived. I asked her about my R/X. She denied there was one & said I'd have to make an optometrist appt.. I insisted that the doctor had created a R/X & told me so, twice. The hostile, antagonistic girl refused to cooperate, demanding I had to make a new appt. I offered to pay for my R/X; that didn't matter to her.
I left upset & lost my distance glasses but didn't notice until home again. I drove back. I spoke with the lady who was in the exam room with me. She got me the R/X for a fee. My glasses were lost to me.
This review had better details b4 I saw the 1000 character limit. I'll not return to the San Antonio Eye Center again.

I am very happy to be back to see Dr. Hahn after four years absence on my part. She is very warm and personable as well as professional. She answers all my questions and puts my mind at ease. The staff are awesome and office is very clean. Only one area that hasn’t changed and that it is a long visit (I was there for two hours). But I guess that goes along with the thoroughness of a trip to the doctors office.

Dr. Hahn-Navas was very professional and kind. Her bedside manner was top-notch, but even more important to me was her willingness to really listen to what I came to her for, and the thoroughness of the exam. Not only did she explain in detail ever part of her findings, but also provided literature and samples. I am scheduled to see her again for a procedure, and for the first time in a long time, I am very comfortable and pleased with my Ophthalmic care.

Point: There are half dozen 'Stations' manned by office personnel for about 2 dozen patients. Only one called out name and identified 'station number' to go to causing some confusion where to go.

Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. I was pleased to see how thorough they were about all the details of my medical history and the reasons I was there. The doctor explained every procedure and results very clearly, including all medications prescribed, how often I should take them, the duration and effects they were going to have on me. I usually have to wait to get that information from the pharmacist.
