Getting to know Dr. Staci Friedman-Weiner
Staci Weiner, Psy.D., is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience. She has worked in private practice, day treatment, university, and school settings, serving in clinical, supervisory, and teaching roles. Dr. Weiner's experience spans working with children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health concerns. For the past four years, she has also served as an expert psychologist for Robson Forensic, Inc., applying her extensive knowledge to forensic investigations related to the mental health status, supervision, diagnosis, and emotional stability of children and adolescents.
Throughout her career, Dr. Weiner has conducted psychological evaluations to better understand diagnoses, develop effective treatment strategies, and address the needs of children and adolescents to support optimal learning. She collaborates closely with schools, physicians, and attorneys to ensure a comprehensive approach to each case. Dr. Weiner has delivered numerous presentations in school and clinical settings on topics such as Test Anxiety, Social Skills Training, Psychological Evaluations, and the Special Education System. Her specialty areas include ADHD, assessment and treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder-particularly in survivors of sexual abuse-Depression, and Anxiety.
Dr. Weiner earned her Psy.D. in School-Clinical Child Psychology and her Master's degree in School Psychology from Pace University. She was an Adjunct Professor at Pace University, where she taught Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to graduate students in the Psy.D. School/Clinical Child Psychology program. Dr. Weiner obtained her New York State Psychology license in 2004 and her Florida license in 2020.

Each client is treated as a unique individual and we set goals that reflect your concerns and wishes as you strive to move forward in your life.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
A typical session is led by the client as they discuss issues that have been on their mind. We will discuss their goals and obstacles that have been holding them back from achieving their optimal potential. I will look for patterns in their thinking and identify how their mindset might be influencing their feelings and their behavior. In turn, we may identify how altering this mindset can positively change the way they function and can cause them to make improvements towards achieving their goals. We will discuss homework or tasks that I may have given the client throughout the week in order to take steps towards helping them achieve their goals in order to reach a greater level of happiness.
