Dr. Chen is a board-certified Pediatrician and Sports Medicine Doctor practicing in Walnut Creek and San Francisco. He specializes in the non-operative medical treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions in both children and adults. His goal is to provide the highest quality of care, ensuring each patient has a clear understanding of their diagnosis and treatment plan.
Dr. Chen earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University School of Medicine. He completed his Pediatrics residency at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and his Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. During his fellowship training, he served as a team physician for two Division I college programs. He continues his passion for sports coverage by volunteering at events such as the San Francisco Marathon, the San Francisco Giant Race, and other local sporting events. He was also a team physician for Northgate High School in Walnut Creek.
Originally from Southern California, Dr. Chen has happily settled in the Bay Area with his wife and two children. He personally enjoys the outdoors, including running and hiking, and is an avid basketball and football fan—you could very likely see him at a game.
