I have over 35 years of experience treating self esteem, intimacy/relationship issues, anxiety, depression, sexual identity conflicts and stuttering. What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a certified Psychoanalyst and have trained extensively in Cognitive Behavioral perspectives. I supervise Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Social Workers in integrating both treatment modalities. Much of my work focuses on intimacy and difficulty entering or sustaining meaningful relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe the therapist must always listen from an empathic perspective. This permits me a greater understanding of the way the patient experiences their world, allows maximum insight, techniques for change, and reduce anxiety. With insight, I help the patient formulate the unformulated thoughts they have that affect their thoughts and actions.
