About Dr. Steven Shaffer

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Shaffer discovered chiropractic care in high school after sustaining an injury that nearly ended his wrestling career. Through consistent chiropractic treatment, he was not only able to finish his season but also go on to stay active in competitive sports, including Mixed Martial Arts—where he competed as both an amateur and professional—and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he currently holds the rank of brown belt. Dr. Shaffer earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in 2014, following his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Western Illinois University in 2008. His passion for health and performance has led him to continue training in advanced chiropractic techniques, physical rehabilitation, nutrition, and strength and conditioning. Outside the office, Dr. Shaffer enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife Rachel and their dog Jackson, and you’ll often find him on the mat practicing Jiu-Jitsu. His dedication to movement, recovery, and whole-body wellness is reflected in the care he provides every patient.
