Dr Sunita Koul completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa (Des Moines). Prior to completing her residency in Internal Medicine, she also completed a residency in Obstetrics/Gynecology in India. Dr. Koul also possesses a Masters in Public Health from Benedictine University, Lisle, IL. Right after her residency she started working as a Hospitalist in Aurora, IL.
It was Dr. Koul's desire to be more accessible to her patients and have long-term relationship with them that led her to start her own practice in an outpatient setting.
Dr. Koul believes the most important part of treating a patient is two-way communication and a holistic approach to health.

Very poor service. While the doctor seems knowledgeable, the clinic is extremely unresponsive.I visited Dr. Koul on January 21, 2026, for my annual checkup and completed my blood work. The results were sent on January 27 and showed abnormal levels, but no one from the clinic contacted me to explain them.
I had to call repeatedly just to get a response. On January 30, a nurse told me I needed medication and said it would be sent to my pharmacy, but nothing was done. I continued calling on February 1 and afterward and was always told someone would call me back. No one ever did.
When the doctor finally contacted me, I was told to schedule another appointment just to receive the prescription, which felt unnecessary and unfair. As a patient, I expected timely communication and proper follow-up, especially for abnormal results. Instead, I experienced poor coordination, lack of responsibility, and unprofessional service. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this clinic.

Dr. Koul is an incredibly professional, caring and attentive Dr. She takes the time to discuss all of my medical needs and answers every question(s). She has a kind way about her, while also being exceptionally intelligent and extremely informed, about up to date medical issues. The nursing and admin staff are wonderful as well! My husband and I have been Dr. Koul's patients for some years now. Being senior citizens, we turn to her for madical advice and much more than that. Dr. Koul has always been very receptive and understanding of our medical situation and has, very professionally, guided us through the issues.
But, it is her personal care and her follow-up that keeps us connected with her.
I have to add that her team is extremely professional and pleasant.

Great doctor and office. Very professional staff. I was thankful I could get an appointment the same day. She thoroughly reviewed my concerns and addressed all of them. After getting tests done they contacted me promptly the next day with the results. Very great experience will have her as my primary care going forward :)
