My methods are tailored to each client’s unique needs, drawing from my extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic therapies. I also provide Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT) for clients struggling with treatment-resistant conditions. My focus is on creating personalized treatment plans that address both immediate concerns and long-term goals. My practice is fully remote, allowing clients to access therapy from the comfort of their own homes. With a strong foundation in clinical research and academic contributions, I integrate evidence-based practices with a deep understanding of the human experience. My priority is to foster a safe, collaborative, and supportive environment where you can explore challenges and build resilience.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy is a collaborative process, tailored to your unique needs and experiences. It’s normal to feel hesitant about starting therapy, and that’s okay. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges, while gaining a deeper understanding and acceptance of yourself. My approach is flexible, curious, and compassionate, focusing on what works best for you. Together, we’ll uncover insights, develop strategies, and make meaningful changes that align with your values. I’m here to listen, guide, and support you on this path, wherever it may lead. As we embark on this journey, it’s important to remember that therapy is a process, and growth takes time. Therapy works best when you actively participate in the process of understanding what limits you and how you can reach deeper levels of self-awareness and acceptance. There may be moments of discomfort or challenge, but these are often where the most significant breakthroughs occur. I encourage you to be patient with yourself and open to the process, knowing that I’m here to support you every step of the way. My relationship with every person I work with is unique, and I am truly honored for the trust so many have placed in me. Through these relationships, I’ve been privileged to witness my clients’ most real and vulnerable parts, and I find that I, too, grow as a person because of the work we do together. Together, we’ll create a path forward that feels authentic and empowering for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with a 60-minute intake session, where we’ll explore your concerns, background, and goals for therapy. Before this session, you’ll receive standard intake paperwork to complete. From there, we’ll meet for 45-minute sessions, typically on a weekly basis. In each session, we’ll check in on how you’ve been doing, discuss any challenges, and explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My approach is collaborative and flexible—I’ll guide our work based on what feels most helpful to you. Depending on your needs, sessions may include structured techniques from cognitive and behavioral therapies, mindfulness exercises, or space for deeper reflection and insight. Therapy is an active process, and I often encourage trying new skills between sessions to reinforce what we discuss. Please note that I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance, but I provide superbills, which many clients use to receive significant reimbursement from their insurance companies. I do not prescribe medication, but I’m happy to coordinate with your prescriber if needed. My goal is to help you build confidence in navigating life’s challenges while creating meaningful and lasting change.

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

I am an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies, which means I do not accept insurance directly. However, many insurance plans offer great out-of-network reimbursement for therapy. After each session, I provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I recommend checking with your provider to understand your specific coverage. Before starting therapy, I encourage you to confirm that your budget and insurance benefits align with my rates. While seeing an in-network therapist may seem like the easiest option, there are many reasons people choose to work with an out-of-network provider. One major advantage is the ability to find a therapist who is the right fit for your needs rather than being limited to a small network. This can be especially important when looking for specialized care. Out-of-network therapists often have more flexibility in their approach, offering personalized, high-quality care without the constraints imposed by insurance companies. Additionally, some insurance plans provide surprisingly high reimbursement rates for out-of-network therapy, making it more affordable than many people assume. If you have a high deductible plan, you may be paying out of pocket either way—so it may make sense to prioritize the therapist who is the best match for you. If you’re unsure about your coverage, I suggest calling your insurance company and asking about your out-of-network mental health benefits. Key questions to ask include:     •    What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed for out-of-network therapy?     •    Is there a deductible I need to meet first?     •    How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement? Choosing the right therapist is an investment in your well-being, and I encourage you to make the choice that best supports your growth and healing.
