About Dr. Tariq Lamki

If you do not have any diagnostics done prior to coming to your appointment with Dr Lamki, you will see Dr Lamki’ licensed Staff Physician for initial evaluation and referrals for various testing based on your conditions. If needed, you will be scheduled to see Dr Lamki directly.
Dr Tariq Lamki is a highly trained and experienced neurologist who joined Medical Arts clinics to serve downtown and uptown population of New York City. Dr Lamki completed his Boards Certification in Clinical Neurological Surgery and has been practice for 25 years. Dr Lamki will be seeing patients at Medical Arts clinics for various neurological consultations. Dr Lamki has been successfully treating patients with general neurological conditions including headaches, migraines, dizziness, backpain, neck pain and spine problems, numbness, as well as strokes, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and sleep disorders. Dr Lamki is seeing patients from 19 years old onward.
Dr. Lamki’ state of the art office technology provides patients to do all diagnostics on-site, most testing are done during first visit. If needed, Doctor will perform “STAT” / “Wet” (immediate) reading.
At Medical Arts clinics, Dr Lamki works together with the group of Neurologists, Pain Management and Orthopedic doctors, as well as Physical Therapists who provide the best quality care for our patients. Dr Lamki will refer patients to other specialists if the problem needs to be further investigated.

The experience was horrible from beginning to end. The man at the front desk was rude even before the appointment began.
I went into a room and was asked a series of questions about my condition.
After that, a P.A. saw me. He asked me the same exact questions that I was just asked by the person taking vital signs.
He was EXTREMELY rude, condescending and he did not listen to my very valid concerns.
The visit was a waste of time & I've NEVER had such a bad experience before.
This place nothing more than an urgent care. They tried to get me to make subsequent appointments so that they could continue to bill my insurance.
I do not recommend this place!
Don't waste your time nor money with this place.

This was quite an interesting visit. The lady at the front was making personal phone calls and using her phone instead of checking people in. The gentleman at the front desk was not quite informed of billing policies, which was a bit odd. Waited quite a while in the waiting room while the young women filled staff in the back were giggling and talking loud enough for all of us to hear, even saying quite explicit words and laughing. At one point, one of the staff laughed and said they had been “talking for 20 minutes let me go do my job”. Yes ma’am, we have all been sitting here waiting for you to finish your catching up with your friends in the back. Once she came, she called a young lady in the room and then from there the rest of us were screened. It was quite unpleasant, the office was a bit overwhelming and not an office I would want to go back to.

Saw a pleasant general NP not a NP neurology and MRI/MRA was to get authorized by my medical insurance and I stated I wanted to have it done at another facility. So I communicated that to the NP and front desk and found out a week later no authorization were placed through my medical insurance. This practice needed the facility’s NPI and Tax ID to proceed which was not verbalized at all from the practitioner nor the front desk. Also I was not informed on my visit that I would not be seeing a neurologist until I arrived. Communication is poor at best and would not recommend this facility.

Dr. Lamki spent time understanding my headache symptoms, history, and history w/ past tx! He gave me great advice and prescribed tx that works with my current travel schedule. Great listener, takes time w/ patients, and also offers lifestyle modification options to supplement medication Rx.
