“This was my first time seeing this provider and my decision to go particularly here was based on other patients' reviews/ratings. Im happy I chose this doctor. She was super friendly, attentive, professional, great personality and aura. She addressed all of my concerns & questions, super patient and overall nice. I will be going again soon for another follow-up. The office was very nice, conveniently located to all transportation in the area and clean. The staff was just as wonderful! Everyone was super nice and the girl (wish I had gotten her name) was extremely sweet, SUPER patient helping me choose my glasses and professional. Loved my experience there and would highly recommend this doctor and office to anyone. ”

Dr. Palavets obtained her bachelor's degree from CUNY Hunter College, where she majored in Biology and received the Theodora Salmon Award for Excellence in Biological Science. She earned her Doctor of Optometry and Master in Vision Sciences degrees from the State University of New York College of Optometry.
Dr. Palavets provides comprehensive eye care to the adult population. She manages various ocular diseases including, but not limited to, dry eyes, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. I needed to be seen right away but still looked at reviews before scheduling. I chose this practice and Dr. Palavets based on the great reviews of her competency, professionalism and patient-centered manner, and the competence and friendliness of the staff. Both, if anything, exceeded my expectations and "I now have a new optometrist, just 15 minutes from home". Highly recommended!

Definitely a way better experience than your average eye doctor in New York. The wait time was average and the staff were very friendly and informative. Also their turnaround was pretty quick - it only took a few days for my glasses to come in! I’d recommend this place to a friend.

Very clear on how long I would need to wait for the technician and doctor. Even got an estimate while my eyes dilated for further testing. Dr. Palavets is an excellent doctor with a fantastic way of relating to patients, and the staff at VistaSite were welcoming, courteous, understanding, and prompt.

The Dr. was very kind and explained things very clearly, which I appreciated. The visit was quick and efficient. The front desk staff was kind but highly misinformed about insurance. I have reached my out of pocket max for the year meaning no copays are required. I verified this with my insurance while in the office but they still were convinced I owed a copay. They just kept trying to explain deductibles to me when I was clearly not the one who was confused, which was super annoying. I eventually just paid and then double checked, over the phone, with my insurance and they assured me again that I was correct and the front desk staff was wrong. My insurance company apologized for the incompetence at the office but told me I would have to wait weeks or months for them to process my claim and hopefully reimburse me.

Besides the pleasant store front waiting area, the staff was incredibly polite and well informed. We even discussed my insurance in detail and they made me aware of what my options were. The doctor was super nice and very easy to talk to and was very reassuring. This was definitely a pleasantly memorable visit and so close to literally all the public transportation I use to get home!

I have never had such a thorough eye exam in my life prior visiting Dr Palavets. It was extremely pleasant experience.
Knowledgeable, smart doctor with great sense of humor; stress-free environment; attentive staff members - I felt welcomed and happy. Doctor Palavets and staff were very patient and took their time addressing all my concerns and needs. Although, office is a little far from my house, I am grateful to find such an amazing doctor and will definitely visit again.
