About Dr. Temitope Ekwo
Dr. Temitope Ekwo is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who provides comprehensive gynecology and intimate wellness care at Allure Gynecology and Aesthetics in Houston. Her clinical interests include adolescent and teen gynecology, high risk obstetrics, contraceptive counseling, pelvic pain, menopause management, and minimally invasive procedures. She also performs a wide range of outpatient surgeries and in-office treatments, caring for women across all stages of life.
Dr. Ekwo was born and raised in Providence. She moved to Washington D.C. after high school and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then relocated to Jackson to pursue her medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she also completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
During her time in Mississippi, she met her husband, a Houston native, which made the transition to Texas a natural next step after residency. She now lives in the Houston area with her husband and their three children.
Dr. Temitope Ekwo has a strong interest in education and mentorship. She has spent time teaching medical students during their women’s health rotations and stays active in community programs that increase awareness and understanding of women’s health issues. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Association of Nigerian Physicians and the Texas Medical Association.

Absolutely wonderful experience! She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly takes the time to listen. I never felt rushed during my visit, and I felt heard and cared for throughout. It’s refreshing to have a gynecologist who genuinely listens and makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommend!

Dr Ekwo is incredible! Cannot recommend her enough! I was blessed to be her OB patient when I was pregnant with twins! Her kindness and bedside manner met with such knowledge and understanding was the most remarkable experience to receive from a doctor. She made me feel so comfortable and confident in very uncertain situations. And now in her current practice seeing her for gynecology is such a blessing. She gives every patient her undivided attention and is so empathetic with any concern or issue. I cannot recommend her enough or this practice. If I ever move I will be flying into see her. She is my forever doctor and such a beautiful person. If I could give 100 stars I would.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Ekwo for several years, and I’m so grateful to have a gynecologist I can truly trust. She genuinely cares about her patients and never makes me feel rushed. She takes the time to listen, understand what’s going on, and get to know you as a person—not just a patient. She has always made me feel comfortable and supported, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor who truly cares.
