Following her doctorate, she completed her residency at both California College of Podiatric Medicine and Parkway Regional Medical Center in Miami. She specializes in diabetic wound care, sports medicine, pediatrics, trauma, biomechanics, foot pain, and general podiatry. Dr. Van Woy has a unique approach to treating her patients. She offers adjunct alternative medicine therapies, including guided imagery and visualization techniques, to assist in the healing of chronic diabetic wounds, bone fractures, and pain relief. “I’ve always had the desire to help others, and while observing various medical professionals, I found podiatry to be the most rewarding and gratifying. Patients tend to leave the podiatry office feeling at least a little better than when they came in,” said Dr. Van Woy. Outside of work, Dr. Van Woy enjoys backpacking, hiking, spending time with her three daughters and husband, woodworking, traveling the world, and martial arts. She is also a best-selling, award-winning author of the book, “Wildflower, a Tale of Transcendence.” Dr. Van Woy supports patients in both English and Spanish.
