Dr. Thomas Yun, MD

Psychiatrist
912 Killian Hill Rd SW, Suite 202 N, Lilburn, GA
If you are struggling with medication side effects and / or continued symptoms despite treatment as usual, an integrative approach could help you. Integrative psychiatry seeks the root causes of mental health symptoms and includes elements of green pharmacy, nutraceuticals, and nutritional psychiatry. Evidence based practices are used to complement treatment as usual in order to minimize side effects and boost efficacy. I work best with patients who are open-minded to new information and research about diagnoses and treatment options. You will find that I take my time during the interview. This allows for more accurate diagnostics. I am often complimented by patients on the thoroughness of my explanation of the risks and benefits of treatments. This allows my patients to make truly informed decisions about their health. In addition to my extensive training and decades of experience in pharmacotherapy, I also have training in psychodynamic psychotherapy. My supervisors were affiliated with the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis. My interview style is rooted in Carl Roger's ideas about person-centered therapy. I also have a special interest in dream work based on the teachings of Carl Jung, Jeremy Taylor, and Justina Lasley.

More information on payments and coverage

I accept the following insurance plans: Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare. I also accept self-pay patients. If you have insurance, I will bill your insurance company. No payment is immediately due. Payment will be expected after the claim is processed and the co-pay amount has been determined. If you already know what your co-pay will be you can go ahead and pay it, but it is usually better to wait until the insurance claim is processed and your insurance company will set the exact co-pay amount. If you are self-pay, I charge $250 for the initial visit. I charge $200 for a one hour follow up and $150 for a half-hour follow. I charge for the completion of forms - $25 for simple one page forms. If it takes more than fifteen minutes to complete the forms, I will charge $25 per fifteen minute increment. For example, I would charge $50 if it takes me 16-30 minutes to complete your forms. These charges and processes are up to date as of 2026, but are subject to change based on market conditions.
