Getting to know Dr. Tiffany Porter

“Tiffany Porter” is a pre-licensed provider working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. I am Tiffany G. Porter, and I am a clinical psychologist committed to providing thoughtful, collaborative, and culturally responsive care. I earned my doctor in Clinical Psychology from Union Institute & University in 2012 and completed my predoctoral internship at the University of Akron Counseling & Testing Center, where I received specialized training in military and veteran mental health and biofeedback. I later completed postdoctoral training in Health Promotion at Case Western Reserve University. My experience includes working with children and families, college students, veterans and military-connected individuals, LGBTQIA+ communities, and people from diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I believe effective care begins with collaboration. I combine my professional knowledge with your expertise about your own life, providing education, explaining options, and encouraging questions and honest feedback.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take an integrative approach that recognizes how culture, identity, relationships, family, community, and life circumstances can influence mental health. I also enjoy making complex psychological and health concepts easier to understand so you can feel informed and confident in your care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My training in biofeedback allows me to incorporate breathing, relaxation, and self-regulation strategies when appropriate. Above all, I want you to feel respected, heard, informed, and actively involved in your own care.

Great psychologist, has helped me though work with anxiety/PTSD/ADHD. Don't know what I would have done without her 3 months ago
