I applaud you in making the first step in improving your mental and emotional health! You are worth it. There is no better investment than in yourself. Myself and my team aim to provide the most excellent counseling care the way I would want my own loved ones to be treated. I am an out-of-network provider so it is a fee-for-service. I am an Asian-American male licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 27745) who lives and works in the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area) since 2014. I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Azusa Pacific University with an emphasis in Family Psychology and consultation. I have a private practice associated with the Eastside Christian Counseling Center in Dublin, CA but primarily work via Telehealth. I worked at Kaiser Permanente for 6.5 years and supervised postdoctoral residents and/or psychological assistants since 2016. Prior to college, I enlisted in the United States Army as a mental health specialist for over 8 years. Things that make me happy are supportive people, wife and son, superheroes (Marvel & DC comics), nature, aquariums, and volleyball

What should a new client know about working with you?
The foundation to effective counseling is trust within the relationship. Sessions with me are typically conversational like if you were connecting with an old friend or colleague. My collaborative approach helps my clients feel like their voice truly matters and essential to discovering the solutions for their own lives. In fact, you can even expect some humor, relevant personal stories, and empathy for your most difficult challenges. One of my mottos in counseling is "if it is important to you, then it is important to me." There is no issues too big, too small, or too inappropriate to discuss. I am also a huge believer in change. Our discussions create space for you to come just as you are... and we also want to create a better experience in the future too.
