About Dr. Timothy Yuan
Dr. Timothy Yuan is an optometrist with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York. He is also certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
Currently practicing at Wu Eye Care in Flushing, NY, Dr. Yuan treats allergic eye problems, cornea issues, decreased vision, flashers and floaters, eye infections, eyelid problems, and conjunctivitis. He also provides pediatric eye consultations, emergency visits, and glaucoma eye examinations.

Figuring out my insurance was a little confusing as I did not have the Medicaid card they requested. Other than that, Dr. Yuan explained to me my new prescription and how I can try using OrthoK lenses and how to navigate the fitting process. Great, would return.

Got reminders for my initial appointment, including a phone call telling me what I needed to bring. The doctor was very attentive, answered all my questions, made me feel comfortable, everyone there was nice as well. Wait time wasn’t too bad I don’t think i waited for more than half an hour and the office was PACKED so I was expecting longer than that. I left feeling like my concerns were discussed fully and that’s not always the case after leaving doctors offices. Sometimes you leave feeling like you still have unresolved questions but that wasn’t the case with my visit with Dr. Yuan. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience visiting Dr. Yuan. I came in because of a torn contact stuck in my eye and he was able to retrieve it and give me some post care tips. What’s great is his holistic approach to the visit - doing a complete assessment on both eyes even beyond what I originally came in for. Highly recommend!

Dr. Timothy Yuan was very professional during the entire visit. His wonderful bedside manner made the experience a very pleasant one. He was quick and efficient in performing the vision exam to determine my prescription. He answered any questions I had regarding my eyes and provided recommendations on when to use my glasses and how to take care of my eyes going forward. It is obvious that he is very well educated and knowledgeable. He also gave me an eye drop sample for dry eyes. I could tell the level of care he provides for all of his patients and I would definitely recommend him to everyone. I plan on coming back for future visits knowing that my eyes will be in good hands.

Booked through Zocdoc. Got multiple texts and a call to confirm appointment which is a good thing. Got to the office and had to sign in and wait for a long time before getting seen. I had uploaded my insurance card before hand as they requested through Zocdoc but they still took a long time to swipe my insurance card. Wait time was unacceptable but Dr. Timothy Yuan was very friendly and thorough.

I have been wondering why everything looked more blurry to me ever since I gave birth to my first child a few months ago and was wondering if I needed new contacts prescriptions. Dr. Yuan was very nice and patient. He listened to all my concerns and discomforts and thoroughly diagnosed and checked my eyes. All mysterious and concerns were solved and I left feeling reassured and happy. I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be going back.

Dr. Yuan was professional and set me at ease during my appointment! The day I visited was fairly crowded, but everyone in the office was great at shuffling us patients around and never made me feel uncomfortable. I asked some questions about my options regarding Lasik, contact lens, general eye health and etc, and Dr. Yuan provided his honest opinion about my specific situation. He was very personable and was happy to chat with me even during the nerve-wracking parts of the check up. Thank you, Dr. Yuan!

Dr. Tim was extremely knowledgeable and professional! I was seen quickly and out the door within an hour, despite the fact that I had lots of questions. He was very patient and thoroughly explained my eye issues to me in a simple to understand manner.
I was also impressed with the continued focus on COVID protocols despite the fact that no one seems to care these days.
I will definitely be coming back. 10/10!

I walked in for an annual eye exam and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Dr. Yuan! He was very informative, making sure to explain the purpose of every procedure, and very patient in answering all the questions I had. At no point did I ever feel like it was rushed. Overall one of the best bedside manners I’ve experienced and I will definitely be back for future exams!
