About Dr. Tyler Belnap

Tyler Belnap, DPM AACFAS is a highly experienced foot and ankle surgeon that will be serving his patients in the Portland and King City offices. Dr Belnap has a passion for not only treating, but also educating his patients on what their foot problems are and how to overcome them.
Before moving to the Pacific Northwest, Dr Belnap grew up in Utah, where he stayed to attend college at Utah Valley University. He graduated with a degree in Spanish and then attended podiatry school at Midwestern University in Phoenix, AZ. While there, he regularly served in the community and was awarded the Samuel Mason Pioneering Service Award. He also held multiple leadership positions including class president and president of the sports medicine club.
For residency, Dr Belnap moved to the east coast to train at Northwell Health – Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He received advanced training in rearfoot and ankle surgeries and had the opportunity to work with D-1 athletes at Fordham University. He was awarded Resident of the Year during his 2nd year.
After residency, Dr Belnap moved with his wife to the Portland area. He practiced for the last 2 years primarily in Vancouver, WA prior to joining Elite Foot and Ankle Associates.
Dr Belnap will have privileges at Adventist Health Portland, Providence Willamette Falls, Providence Portland, Providence St Vincent, Providence Beaverton, and Legacy Meridian Park.
In his spare time, Dr Belnap enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah. Together they enjoy exploring the mountains and coastline. He is a 3x Ironman and has competed in a number of ultramarathons.

Dr. Belnap was very kind and listened to my description of my neuropathy issues. After looking at my feet, he felt that they're nowhere near as bad as I thought. I procrastinated on seeing a doctor, for fear of a bad report. Dr. Belnap even trimmed my toenails, something a prior podiatrist never did.

The waiting area was clean and professional, and the staff were also friendly. Dr. Tyler Belnap was very knowledgeable and helped me understand my condition and the options I could take. I was afraid I’d be losing my toenails before I got there, but he took gave me an alternative we plan to work over time together on in a way I could keep them as well as maintain them better. I appreciate how he gave me options and explained how we could both manage my condition. Highly recommended because he was very professional and kind, too. Best foot care doctor I’ve been to in a very long time!

The front desk reception was two ladies that welcomed me warmly. I had foot x-rays that were done easily and quickly. The exam room was clean. I was seen quickly by Dr. Belknap. He is relaxed, spoke in easy to understand terms. I never felt rushed. He gave me an easy set of instructions and exercises to follow for my foot pain. Definitely recommend this Doctor and his staff!

Dr. Belnap gave me (what I would consider, not great news) in a gentle but precise manner. Giving me my options and offering how he would proceed if it was happening to him. We agreed (without any pushing in any particular direction) to try the nonsurgical way. I'm very pleased with the treatment plan. As my usual, I did my research, and it all agrees with the plan I'm taking. I'm very impressed with Dr. Belnap and his knowledge. Being in the medical field myself, I appreciate an excellent doctor!

The experience was excellent from start to finish. The receptionist was friendly, polite and welcoming. Nate was open, friendly and very kind to my 91 year old mother and Dr. Belnap exceeded any expectations I might have had. He was gentle with my mom, very complementary when it came to how well she had cared for her feet over the years and had a great sense of humor which immediately put us both at ease. I would highly recommend Dr. Belnap and the staff to my friends and family.

It’s been years since I had to see a podiatrist. So I was a little anxious about the procedure of removing an ingrown toenail. However I was very impressed with Dr. Belnap and his staff. There was no pain involved even with the injections and removal of the said nail. His manner was courteous and proficient and I would have no doubts in seeing him again. Job well done. Thank you !!
