Dr. Umay R. Mughal is a highly skilled and trained podiatrist, originally from New York, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her patients. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, Long Island, alongside her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Mughal further advanced her career by completing a three-year podiatric surgical residency program at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine in Mineola, NY. During her extensive training, she provided care at a Level-1 Trauma Center and received comprehensive training in foot and ankle deformities, including Charcot neuroarthropathy, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, and elective forefoot cases.
She is an active member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA).

Using zocdoc is not the right way to go. I had the worst ext with zocdoc in changing my time. They open at 7, but the doctor did not show up for an hour. I spoke with them about the information on my papers, they still did t correct it because when they sent in my prescription it had my dad name and date of birth still on it. I will not recommend them.

Dr, Mughal was very professional and effective in dealing with the issue for which I made the appointment. She is very knowledgeable and informed me of statutory benefits of which I was not aware. I strongly recommend her and am planning for a follow-up visit in the coming days. The office staff were equally professional and the office itself is easily reachable with plenty of parking available.

My experience was awsome. The doctor explained my condition and offered a service that was felt almost immediately. Her bedside manner was exceptional she really heard me and made my visit better than any I have ever had. She was fantastic. She helped me understand what the problem was and explained what the procedure will be. She also gave me a surgical shoe which I have never been given whenever I had to do foot procedures elsewhere. If you are looking for someone who listens and helps you, go here!

Dr. Umay is incredible! I was traveling through the area when I needed urgent care for a painful ingrown toenail. I booked the appointment on a Friday and was seen that Monday — even though it was a holiday!
Dr. Umay made a gnarly experience feel totally manageable. She was kind, calming, and made me feel comfortable throughout the procedure.
Even though I’m not local, she took the time to check in with me via telehealth and email to make sure I was healing well. They even gave me all the supplies I needed for rebandaging.
I highly recommend Dr. Umay to anyone needing foot care — especially if you’re nervous or just passing through town. She’s professional, compassionate, and goes above and beyond.
