I found Dr. Uzma Kewan through Zocdoc after transitioning to Medicaid due to an insurance change. While my initial visit felt validating, my overall experience was extremely challenging due to ongoing administrative and communication issues. It was very difficult to reach the office despite calling for weeks, and promised callbacks never occurred. I repeatedly had to advocate for prior authorizations and later discovered key information was entered incorrectly in my chart. I was also unable to use the patient portal until I identified the issue myself. Interactions with front desk staff felt dismissive, and I was given incorrect information about appointments and submissions. Advocating for your health should not result in being ghosted or met with hostility, yet I never received follow-up even after resolving next steps independently. Patients deserve clear communication, accuracy, and support.
