About Dr. Val Bratinov

Val Bratinov, MD, is an emergency medicine provider with specialty training in Sports Medicine practicing with MedStar Health in Baltimore. As part of the Sports Medicine team, he specializes in the treatment of all level athletes from weekend enthusiasts to professionals. Dr. Bratinov sees patients at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Bratinov provides evaluation and treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal injuries ranging from acute due to trauma to more chronic and overuse injuries such as tendonitis. When appropriate, he utilizes ultrasound in office to augment diagnosis, treatment, and therapy. Additional specialty care provided by Dr. Bratinov includes gait analysis, compartment testing, and concussion care. Dr. Bratinov earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He then received his medical degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Dr. Bratinov completed his residency in emergency medicine at WellSpan York Hospital where he served as chief resident. Finally, he completed his fellowship training with the UPMC Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship program where he worked as team physician for the University of Pittsburgh, Robert Morris University, and Carnegie Mellon University.
