“I went to see Dr. Bedoya to discuss obtaining newly prescribed scleral lenses for my eyes.
Dr. Bedoya carefully listened to my concerns and understood how important these lenses are for helping me see clearly. Scleral lenses have been very beneficial for me because they not only provide stable and clear vision but also help manage my dry eyes. The space between the lens and the cornea holds a reservoir of preservative-free saline solution, which provides continuous hydration and relief for chronic dry eye symptoms.
Unfortunately, I do not qualify for LASIK due to having a thin cornea. However, scleral lenses allow me to achieve clear vision that I have not been able to obtain with traditional glasses or soft contact lenses. In the past, glasses and soft lenses often caused severe dryness and foggy vision for me.
