About Dr. Vanessa Conenna
Dr. Vanessa Conenna earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the prestigious New England College of Optometry. Before attending optometry school, she worked as both an optometric technician and a vision therapist, treating hundreds of patients with eye muscle disorders and perceptual problems. She currently serves as the director of Vision Therapy in our Manhattan and Brooklyn offices. Dr. Conenna began fitting contact lenses in our Staten Island and Manhattan locations and also performs primary eye care examinations, including pre- and post-operative care. She is available for LASIK consultations at all three of our offices.

Dr Connena and her staff are excellent. It was my first eye exam in nearly 10 years, so I went in with some trepidation, but everyone I saw, from the front desk staff to the junior doctor to Dr Connena, was friendly and patient. A very thorough eye exam.

Dr. Conenna was amazing. She took her time and answered all my questions. She also gave me some sample contacts to try for one of my eyes to make sure I was comfortable before I place an order, which I really appreciated.
The wait time though could be managed better. My appointment itself started about 20 minutes late and I had to wait another 10-15 minutes for Dr. Conenna after being seen by someone else for some prelim tests. Not horrible but definitely add some buffer time to your schedule.

There was a bit of a delay in checking in, although that might have been because I was a new patient. Once we started, Vanessa was very professional and friendly. She did a careful job and actually determined that there was a different contact curvature that would be more comfortable and better for my eyes.
