Dr. Freeman grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, and returned home to practice medicine. She received her Medical Degree from East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine and completed her General Psychiatry Residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Freeman spent an additional year in Arkansas to subspecialize in Forensic Psychiatry. She is a Board Certified Psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. She has experience with children, adolescence, adults, and geriatrics, and she values both pharmacologic and therapeutic modalities for treatment. She is passionate about providing a thorough and individualized approach to her patients and is looking forward to building her practice.
