Getting to know Dr. Veronika Glusker

I'm a licensed psychologist with over 13 years of experience helping people navigate a wide range of life challenges - from anxiety and stress to relationships, life transitions, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School, which informs my thoughtful and evidence-based approach. My work is centered around creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where it feels safe to slow down, reflect, and grow. Therapy can be a place to get clarity, build insight, and develop new ways of approaching the things that feel hard. It can also be a space to reconnect with yourself - your values, your voice, and the kind of life you want to build. My style is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I'll meet you where you are, and we'll move at a pace that feels right. I pull from evidence-based approaches like psychodynamic theory, CBT, and mindfulness practices, always tailoring our work to your needs. My goal is to support meaningful, lasting change while staying grounded in the realities of your day-to-day life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is a conversation — not a performance. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come in, and you’re welcome to show up exactly as you are. I bring warmth, curiosity, and compassion to my work, along with a steady presence. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer reflections, and help you notice patterns or perspectives that might not be serving you anymore. I care deeply about making therapy feel useful and supportive — not overwhelming or overly clinical. You can expect a space where you’re respected, where things can be both serious and light, and where your goals guide the work we do together. I see therapy as a partnership — one that’s flexible, honest, and grounded in trust.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first few sessions are about getting to know you — what brings you in, what’s been going on, and what you’re hoping for. It’s also a chance to make sure it feels like a good fit. From there, we’ll work together to clarify your goals and start exploring what’s getting in the way. That might involve looking at thought patterns, processing emotions, building skills, or understanding how past experiences are shaping the present. We’ll move at a pace that feels manageable, with room for both insight and action. I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful — including cognitive-behavioral tools, relational work, and mindfulness-based strategies. Throughout, I’ll check in with you about how things are going so we can keep the process collaborative and responsive.
